Poguri and the Land of Nou, which had been the tentative title of the book, will now be known as The Bright and the Gloom.  It occurred to me at some point that for as simple and accurate as the old title was, it wasn’t very compelling, and wouldn’t necessarily draw the attention of anyone who didn’t know what a “PogurI” was, or cared to know what or where the Land of Nou was.

Words like “Bright” and “Gloom” carry their own meanings and are powerful in their own right, both phonetically and semantically.  Together I think they have a certain weight that the old title lacked.

As the website is due for another overhaul, the name change will be reflected throughout the various pages at that time.
