Overview

POGURI and the Land of Nou^TM will be illustrated children's novel that will also have some appeal for older readers. It is a story intended as a throwback to the grimmer and more viscerally satisfying children's tales, unapologetic in their use of darker themes.

It will be a return to classics such as tales from the Brothers Grimm and movies such as The Neverending Story™ and The Dark Crystal™, containing elements of fantasy and shades of the macabre.

It is the author's intention that the book inspire as much discussion in literature courses at every level any it would in grade-school book clubs – that it be as much at home on the shelf next to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland^™ as it would be next to Harry Potter^™.
